Meet The Builder

David C. Hunihan and his wife Lauren currently live in Bradenton with their three daughters. Originally from New Jersey, this Boston College graduate moved to the Gulf Coast in 1991, and has been in the home building industry ever since.
David has been recognized locally for his early success. In 1999, he was named to the Gulf Coast Business Review's "40-under-40" list, honoring him as one of the best and brightest people under age 40 in the area. In 2001 the Business Journal serving Greater Tampa Bay also named him to its "40-under-40" list.

Fidelity is the only Builder nationwide to be featured in a more than year long series detailing its startup, strategies and principles of Total Quality Management. David is also an active member of C12 Groups, being named Alpha Member of the Year for 2005.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
David currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Home Builders Association of Sarasota County and has also served on the Board of Directors for the Sarasota Afilliate of Habitat for Humanity International. David is part of the Leadership Committee of The Episcopal Men's Ministry at The Church of the Re deemer, Sarasota as well a member of the Advisory Council for Life 89.1, a Christian radio station. Fidelity Homes proudly supports The Loveland Center in Venice, the Tabernacle Christian School in Sarasota, Habitat For Humanity International and, Eastern Manatee Young Life.
In 2006 Fidelity Homes participated in the nationwide "Blitz Build", a joint event between Habitat and the National Association of Home Builders, to build over 500 homes nationwide in one week. With the help of our Trade Partners and Habitat for Humanity, Fidelity Homes built a home for the Vidaurre Family in just five days. Our project for 2007 is to complete a new building to house the senior students at The Loveland Center in Venice. David will also chair the Habitat Blitz Build efforts in 2008 for the Sarasota HBA.
Among other various community service activities, David also enjoys serving as the assistant coach of the Braden River Girls Soccer team. The girls have recently experienced a victory, being crowned as State Champs during the Hackworth Davis Cup on April 1st, 2007.
