Fidelity Homes awarded “Florida Friendly” honor

SARASOTA, Fla. (August 2, 2007) – Fidelity Homes was awarded a certificate as a Florida Friendly Community by Florida Yards and Neighborhoods for their eco-friendly project, University Groves, announced company steward and president, David Hunihan. The award was presented at the Florida Green Building Coalition’s annual meeting on July 12.

The Florida Friendly certificate recognizes the environmental responsibility of Fidelity Homes at University Groves through their landscaping practices and use of drought-tolerant vegetation, non-invasive plant life, rain collection devices, minimal grass use, and efficient maintenance practices.

Fidelity Homes is building 68 single-family homes and 78 townhomes in the residential and master-planned community of University Groves. Single-family homes are priced from the $390s and range in size from 1,900 to more than 3,000 square feet of living area.
